Founder's Words

TrunkAndTale began with a deep admiration for the hands that create - hands that shape stone, carve wood, weave fiber, and carry traditions forward without noise or recognition.

Growing up surrounded by the richness of Indian craftsmanship, I witnessed how objects were never just decorative. They held memory, identity, and meaning. When I moved to Canada, I felt a quiet desire to build a bridge - to bring these living traditions into modern spaces where they could continue to be appreciated and preserved.

Every piece we curate carries more than material beauty. It carries lineage. It carries patience. It carries pride.

My hope is that when a TrunkAndTale piece finds its place in your home, you feel that connection - from the artisan’s hands to yours.

With gratitude,
